The Grain Drying Energy Self Assessment Tool has been developed to increase energy
awareness of the different options for drying grain, and in particular, corn.
This tool is designed to estimate the efficiency of your grain drying operation and provide a comparison to typical efficiency values for similar types of grain dryers. The tool provides estimated savings from energy conservation options that can be used with your current dryer and compares that data to typical energy usage and costs of other types of dryers. This allows growers to compare their current drying system to other options available on the market relative to energy efficiency. This tool does not provide specific recommendations but allows the user to evaluate options based on user inputs.
